If you are insured by Allstate, Unum, or AIG, you must be aware that your insurance company has made the top ten worst insurance companies in the United States based on a study by the American Association for Justice (AAJ ). The researchers analyzed thousands of records in the SEC and FBI investigations of insurance for the State Department and complaints, news accounts, insurance agents and adjusters former testimony and court documents.

According to the AAJ report, "The Top Ten Worst Insurance Companies in America", insurance companies often put profit policyholders. The report states that "the name of the game is deny, delay, defend, do anything, in fact, to avoid paying claims."

The list includes insurance companies homeowners and auto insurance, life insurance, disability insurance and health insurance companies. The company was identified as the worst of them was Allstate. The report claims that Allstate's approach to credit is "a combination of irresistible offers hard and litigation. A former insurance adjuster with the company stated that they were instructed by supervisors to lie.
